Will I ever stop finding new ways to make Vegan Mousse? Probably not! This is one of my absolute favorite desserts and this Vegan Peanut Butter Chocolate Mousse is my newest obsession. Basically, all you need to make a successful mousse is a good fat source, and what better than Peanut Butter? Who doesn’t love a good chocolate and peanut butter mash-up?

This dessert dish is an absolute winner for dinner parties as it can be dressed up to look elegant and professional. For those that are peanut-free, you can use any other nut or seed butter for this recipe or try my Vegan Tofu Based option. I’ve included the method below on how to prepare this decadent dessert so keep reading!

How to Make Vegan Peanut Butter Chocolate Mousse:

Most traditional Mousse recipes call for loads of sugar dairy. This recipe requires only a few simple and natural ingredients that we all probably already have in our fridge and pantry. Simply whisk peanut butter, plant milk, maple syrup, vanilla, and cocoa powder over low heat for 15-20 minutes until it thickens. Let chill in the refrigerator for a few hours and whip with a hand mixer to make it extra airy (optional). Serve with strawberries, vegan whip cream, and extra cocoa powder for garnish.

Other additional toppings:

  • Blueberries
  • Pomegranate
  • Mint
  • Chili Flakes
  • Cinnamon
  • Vanilla bean
  • Crushed Peanuts

Storage:

Store in a container with a tight-fitting lid such as a mason jar in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Easy and Delicious Vegan Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups Plant Milk

  • 3/4 cup Peanut Butter or other Nut or Seed Butter

  • 1/2 cup Cocoa Powder

  • 1/2 cup Maple Syrup

  • 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract

Directions

  • Heat milk in a large deep pan or pot on medium-high heat.
  • Add all remaining ingredients and whisk well. Bring to s light simmer and reduce heat to low.
  • Continue to simmer, stirring frequently until the mixture thickens to almost the consistency of pudding.
  • Remove from heat and transfer to a large container or mason jar with a lid.
  • Refrigerate for 3-4 hours.
  • Transfer to a mixing bowl and beat on high until it is light and fluffy. Serve immediately topped with all your favorite toppings or store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
