I call this dish the Super Easy Stir-Fried Cabbage because it involves just a few simple ingredients thrown into a pan and left to cook away. It’s perfect for those nights were you don’t want to put much effort into cooking but still want something tasty and healthy.
I never knew what to do with cabbage other than make cabbage rolls, but I have been doing a lot of experimenting lately because I absolutely love the sweetness that comes out of this delicious vegetable. Cabbage always seems like it would be the side dish or part of some type of filling, but in this recipe it is the star of the show!
Slow cooked on a skillet to perfection with crispy brown bits at the bottom that are absolutely heavenly! Serve this dish with a variety of toppings or sides, the options are limitless!

How to Make this Super Easy Stir-Fried Cabbage
This recipe calls for Green Cabbage but you can also use Napa Cabbage. The remaining ingredients are:
- Garlic
- Carrots
- Bell Pepper
- Soy Sauce or Tamari
- Green Onions (optional)
- Sesame Seeds (optional)
Simply sauté the vegetables with the garlic in a large pan and cook until the cabbage is nice and soft. Then add soy sauce and sesame seeds to taste.
Storage: Place any remaining stir-fry in a re-usable container with a tight fitting lid. Store in the refrigerator for up to three days. Re-heat on the stovetop in a frying pan or by microwaving.

Ingredients
1 tbsp Avocado Oil
1 head Green Cabbage (thinly sliced/shredded)
3-4 Garlic Cloves (minced)
3 Green Onions (diced)
3 Carrots (shredded)
1 Bell Pepper (cut into thin strips)
3 tbsp Soy Sauce or Tamari
- Toppings
Sesame Seeds or Crushed Peanuts (optional)
Extra Green Onions (optional)
Directions
- In a large deep pan or Wok heat oil on medium-high heat. Add garlic and green onion and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add cabbage, carrots and bell pepper. Reduce heat to medium-low to low. Continue to cook, stirring every 10 minutes until all vegetables have softened and cabbage begins to slightly brown (approximately 30-40mins).
- Add soy sauce to taste.
- Serve immediately topped with extra green onions, sesame seeds or crushed peanuts.
