Oats are fantastic for your health and should be incorporated regularly into your diet for gut, heart, and brain health. These bars are made with natural ingredients and minimal sugar. Have these bars for breakfast, a snack, or pair with Homemade Vegan Ice Cream for a healthier vegan dessert.

How to Prepare and Store Healthy Oatmeal Breakfast Bars

Luckily, not only are these bars healthy but they are prepared quickly and simply! Start by making your flax egg then mix together the remaining dry ingredients in a large bowl. Next, add the wet ingredients and stir well. Pack mixture tightly into an oven-safe dish lined with parchment paper and bake for 30-35 minutes. Let cool and cut into 6-8 individual bars.

This recipe used a standard size bread pan, which makes the bars thick and chewy, if you don’t have a bread pan or prefer to have them on the thinner side, you can use a larger pan. If using a larger pan adjust the bake time as they will cook faster.

These bars keep for approximately three days. Let the bars cool completely before storing them in an air-tight container. These bars taste fantastic the next day heated up quickly in a toaster oven or conventional oven.
