These Crispy Vegan Cauliflower Wings are the perfect weekend snack to share. Baked in the oven then smothered in a Vegan Honey Garlic Sauce!

Cauliflower wings are popular for a reason. These wings are so tasty, you wont even know you are eating something healthy! Take a bite and enjoy the deliciously crispy and saucy outside, with just the right amount of softness on the inside. For this recipe I chose to include a Vegan Honey Garlic Sauce but you can use whatever sauce you like best and just slather it on!

This dish is perfect for everyone, even meat-eaters won’t be able to get enough.

How to Make Crispy Vegan Cauliflower Wings

Luckily this dish is not only delicious, it’s also very simple to make. Simply toss cauliflower florets into a simple batter of flour, plant milk and salt. Spread them out evenly onto two baking sheets lined with parchment paper and bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes until crispy. While the cauliflower is baking, begin making the Vegan Honey Garlic Sauce by combining a few simple ingredients in a hot saucepan until a delicious sticky sauce is formed!

Tips:

  • To make the wings extra crispy, make the cauliflower florets smaller in size. You can also cook them for a few extra minutes on the broil setting.
  • Make sure the batter isn’t runny, it should coat the cauliflower, not drip off. If you find your batter too runny, add some more flour and toss again.
  • When transferring cauliflower wings onto the baking sheets, use a slotted spoon to avoid adding any excess batter.

Crispy Vegan Cauliflower Wings

Crispy Vegan Cauliflower Wings baked in the oven then smothered in a Vegan Honey Garlic Sauce

Ingredients
  

  • 1 head Cauliflower fleurettes
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 1/4 cup Plant Milk
  • 1 tsp Salt

For the Honey Garlic Sauce

  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced or crushed
  • 1 tbsp Soy
  • 1/4 cup Agave
  • 2 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 1/4 cup + 2 tbsp Water
  • 1/2 tsp Onion Powder

Instructions
 

  • Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Begin breaking down the cauliflower into bite size florets. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl combine flour, plant milk and salt until a batter is formed.
  • Toss cauliflower florets into the batter to coat evenly. Using a slotted spoon evenly distribute the cauliflower onto two baking sheets lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20-25 minutes until crispy, flipping halfway,
  • Meanwhile, begin the sauce by heating up some of the water on a saucepan (about 2 tbsp.). Add the garlic and sauté for 2 minutes before adding the remaining water and sauce ingredients. Continue to cook on low-medium heat while it thickens, stirring regularly (approximately 5-7 minutes).
  • Remove the cauliflower from the oven. Let cool for 5 minutes. In a large bowl, toss the cauliflower together with the sauce and serve immediately topped with sesame seeds (optional).
